Candid Footage of Charles, William and Harry on Holiday in Balmoral (1997)

On 16 August 1997, ITN's cameras were invited to film Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and his sons, 15-year-old Prince William and 12-year-old Prince Harry, on a walk through the grounds of Balmoral. The footage, featruing remarkably energetic and candid interactions between the future King and his sons, was filmed just two weeks before the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales, in a car crash in Paris. Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles III has been diagnosed with a form of cancer found while the King was undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate. The King has postponed his public engagements while he undergoes treatment, and Prince William may assist his father in carrying out his official duties.
