As for their husbands, Zaynab was married to Abu al-Aas ibn al-Rabi’ ibn Abd al-Uzza ibn Abd Shams ibn Abd Manaf. He married her during the pre-Islamic era and later embraced Islam. Ruqayyah was married to Uthman ibn Affan, the Rightly Guided Caliph (may God be pleased with him). He married her during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When she died, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married him to Umm Kulthum (may God be pleased with her). When she died, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If I had a third daughter, I would have married her to him.” Narrated by al-Tabarani with a weak chain of narration. Uthman (may God be pleased with him) married two daughters of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), hence his title "Dhu al-Nurayn" (Possessor of the Two Lights). As for Fatimah (may God be pleased with her), she married Ali ibn Abi Talib (may God be pleased with him). This illustrates the lineage of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and their virtues. Zayd ibn Harithah was a noble companion and a prominent Muslim military commander. He is the only companion whose name is mentioned in the Holy Quran. Zayd was known for his courage and devotion to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and his life was an example of loyalty and dedication to Islam. Abu Usama Zayd ibn Haritha ibn Sharahil ibn Ka'b ibn Abd al-Uzza ibn Yazid al-Kalbi (died 8 AH/629 CE) was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and a Muslim military commander. He was a freed slave of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who had adopted him before his prophethood. He was the first freed slave to embrace Islam and one of the earliest converts. He is the only companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) whose name is mentioned in the Quran. Zayd participated in many of the Prophet's battles and was appointed commander of several expeditions. He was martyred at the Battle of Mu'tah while leading the Muslim army against a numerically superior force of Byzantines and Ghassanids. His upbringing and adoption by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): Zayd ibn Haritha ibn Shurahbil (or Sharhabil) ibn Ka'b was born forty-seven years before the Prophet's migration (Hijra), or forty-three years before, according to another account, in the lands of his tribe, Banu Kalb, one of the branches of Quda'a. His mother was Su'da bint Tha'laba ibn 'Abd 'Amir ibn Aflat, from the Banu Ma'n of Tayy. Zayd was taken captive as a young boy when the cavalry of Banu al-Qayn ibn Jisr raided the lands of Banu Ma'n, his mother's tribe, while he was visiting them. They sold him in the 'Ukaz market, and Hakim ibn Hizam bought him for his aunt Khadija bint Khuwaylid for four hundred dirhams. When the Prophet Muhammad married her, she gave him to him. Some time later, some people from his tribe, Kalb, performed the Hajj pilgrimage and saw him. He recognized them, and they recognized him. They returned and informed his father of his whereabouts, so his father, Haritha, and his uncle, Ka'b, went out to ransom him. They met the Prophet Muhammad and asked to ransom him. He gave them the choice: if he wished, he could stay, or he could return with his family without any ransom. Then the Prophet Muhammad called him and said, “I am who you know, and you have seen my companionship with you. Choose me or choose them.” Zayd replied, “I would never choose anyone over you. You are like a father and mother to me.” His father and uncle were astonished and said, “Woe to you, Zayd! Would you choose slavery over freedom, and over your father, your uncle, and your family?!” He said, “Yes. I have seen something in this man that makes me never choose anyone over him.” When the Prophet Muhammad saw this, he took him to the Hijr (the semi-circular area adjacent to the Kaaba) and said, “O people present, bear witness that Zayd is my son.
