AUSTIN, Texas — https://linktr.ee/womensbasketballall... The Texas Women's Basketball team led the whole way and came away with a 67-50 victory over Cincinnati on Saturday at Moody Center. Senior Taylor Jones filled the stat sheet with 13 points, nine rebounds and a career-high seven blocked shots. Jones also recorded three steals. Aaliyah Moore scored in double figures for the fifth straight game with 16 points and added seven rebounds. Shaylee Gonzales recorded her 500th career assist to go along with 13 points and six rebounds. Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda came off the bench to score eight points on 3-of-3 shooting and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. The Longhorns (19-3, 6-3) started off the game with five blocks in the first quarter, all from Taylor Jones and led 16-12 after the opening period. Texas never trailed in the game, with the highest lead of 19 points at the last quarter, and limited Cincinnati to only 24 points in the paint. Texas got separation in the third quarter as they outscored Cincinnati 20-11 in the third frame.
