TANKWA KAROO NATIONAL PARK | ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW The Tankwa Karoo National Park is situated about 320km North-East of Cape Town on the border of the western and northern cape. It is known for its epic scenery, harsh environment and remoteness. Please note that Tankwa is a fully self-sufficient park ie if you don't bring it, you wont have it. I spent two days in Tankwa Karoo exploring and showing you only the best park has to offer. I overnighted in the De Zyfer cottage and drove up the Gannaga pass, did the Watervlei 4x4 route and stopped at a few more unique an interesting places.
