My Inspire Project - Unlocking Puglia, Italy’s Best-Kept Secret

Two years in the making and countless visits to this amazing region have finally allowed us to produce and introduce the incredible experience and spirit of Puglia. In the heel of Italy lies #Puglia, Italy’s best-kept secret, a land where time-honored traditions and untouched landscapes whisper tales of the past. “Unlocking Puglia” is an invitation to explore the soul of this region, from its historic roots to its vibrant present and promising future. We begin where stories of old stir beneath our feet, at the majestic Castel del Monte, approached on horseback as dawn breaks, unveiling the mystery and secrets of Puglia. Here, the architecture is not just observed but felt, a gateway to understanding the region's heart. Dive into the unparalleled nature of Puglia, from the dramatic cliffs of Lama Monachile, where the sea carves poetry into the rock, to the tranquil waters of Castro Marina, explored by traditional wooden boat. Then, to the untouched beauty of Punta Prosciutto Beach, where sand dunes whisper tales of the wind and sea. The narrative arc bends towards the architecture, the soul's reflection, in Lecce's old town. Dubbed the Florence of the South, its balconies, ancient theaters, and cathedrals speak of a rich, layered history. Yet, it's in Alberobello where the story deepens, exploring the art of Trulli homes, and dining under the stars at Trattoria Terra Madre offers a taste of the land itself. The essence of Puglia's past is preserved within the walls of its Masserias. Masseria Moroseta blends traditional architecture with contemporary chic and comfort, while Masseria Urban, a cultural hub, embraces the future without losing sight of the past. But what is a place without its flavors? "Unlocking Puglia" savors every bite, from street food in Bari with Lady Nunzia to ancient recipes at Le Stanzie. The journey of taste continues with olive oil making at Masseria Maccarone and mozzarella shaping with local artisans. The craft of ceramics in Grottaglie, through the hands of Mr. Vestita, showcases the region's artistic spirit. Puglia's story is also one of diverse culture, where contemporary beats meet traditional rhythms. From DJ Protopapa's fresh sounds at Masseria Wave to the ancient, heart-pounding Pizzica dance, the region pulses with life, embracing the new without letting go of the old. "Unlocking Puglia" is an invitation to wander, to taste, to dance, and to feel. It's a journey into the heart of a region where we discover not just a place but a way of life.
