A Snowy Weekend In Dinner Plain, Mt Hotham Victoria: Snow Walk & Village Tour ❄️ Snow Australia ❄️ Hello everyone and welcome to another vlog from my travel diary. Today we are going to visit another winter wonderland in Australia which is Dinner Plain, Mt Hotham Victoria. As you can see we are driving through the misty mountains of Victoria's Great Alpine Road. This road is the highest year round accessible sealed road in Australia and one of the most scenic roads I have ever seen. I will upload another video where you can see the highlights of this road going to Diner Plain and returning home from the Dinner Pain. Dinner Plain is a town in Victoria, Australia, located on the Great Alpine Road, 13 kilometres from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort, and 375 kilometres from Melbourne. At the 2016 census, Dinner Plain had a population of 230, yet has over 200 lodges and chalets for tourist accommodation. The village is surrounded by the Alpine National Park, During winter there is a perfect beginner ski hill, complete with tobogganing and a snow-play area to make the ultimate snowman All year round, Dinner Plain Alpine Village has no resort entry fee so if you love a relaxed mountain village, with an alpine atmosphere, this is your kind of place. Note: In Victoria all type of vehicle need to carry snow chains. It is the law to carry chains in your car prior to ascending the mountain from either Omeo or Harrietville. Chains ARE NOT available once in Dinner Plain. We stayed at Hotel High Plains and loved it’s rustic atmosphere.
