Driving the Buttercup Route to Múli | Faroe Islands
Múli is an abandoned town on the island of Borðoy in the Faroe Islands. The drive to this town is a "buttercup route" - a road noted for its scenic beauty. Along this road you pass four waterfalls as you thread North along the coast of Borðoy and across the water from the island of Viðoy. The road devolves from freshly paved to potholed gravel and ends in the small collection of abandoned houses that mark the site of the ancient 14th century town.
