🎥 "REFLECT ON YOURSELF: Art as a Mirror of Our History" Mediarte presents its new documentary series REFLECT ON YOURSELF, an audiovisual production dedicated to exploring the history of Ecuadorian art through ten masterpieces from the collection of the San Francisco Museum in Quito. The series will be broadcast on the MediarTV YouTube channel and aims to bring the country's rich heritage closer to the public from a contemporary, educational, and sensitive perspective. In this episode, Guillermo Almeida invites us to travel back to the very moment the first Franciscans arrived in Quito in 1534 to evangelize the indigenous population, through a painting created in 1785 by Quito native Antonio Astudillo. 👥 A Multidisciplinary Team: The project brings together, for the first time, a diverse team of historical researchers, tour guides, educational mediators, restorers, actors, and designers, who have worked together to offer a profound, accessible, and visually stunning audiovisual experience.
