Jack Payne's New Band of 1933
Jack Payne and his Band: • Oh! Johanna! -- Vocal chorus by Billy Scott-Coomber • It's The Talk Of The Town -- Vocal chorus by Billy Scott-Coomber & Trio • Dinner At Eight -- Vocal chorus by Ronnie Genarder • Honeymoon Hotel- Vocal chorus by Billy Scott-Coomber • By A Waterfall -- Vocal chorus by Billy Scott-Coomber • The Last Round-Up -- Vocal chorus by Billy Scott-Coomber Originally recorded for the Imperial label between September and December 1933, these 78rpm recordings have been remastered by this user. There were many personnel changes in Jack Payne's Band during 1933 and by September Jack had a much changed personnel. Nevertheless he maintained his high standard of musicianship throughout and as you can hear, his new band was as good as any he had fronted in earlier years. I particularly like the arrangements of some of the numbers in this selection of some of the most popular songs of 1933.
