Under the Heavens | Writing Session

While filming for more studio tour stuff, the guys captured me playing through some of my new songs. Under the Heavens emerged from this writing session in real time - we didn't plan any of this. My favorite things to watch are documentaries on how things are made, and I'm always looking on YouTube for behind the scenes of the artists that inspire me because I want to know how people work and what they're like, so I thought putting this out might be fun. It's honest, raw and identical to how I think and talk to myself when nobody is there watching. None of the audio is time or pitch corrected in any way. What you hear is what we captured while filming. I wouldn't call this an episode as much as it's a look inside my writing process, and Under the Heavens just happened to emerge from it. I've had some requests to finish the tour after releasing the first one, but I'd rather spend my time writing music than being part of making any more films (on most days!) - if you're a filmmaker you know what I mean.
