Sonic 2: Mania is a Full Game Edit (Script) Mod for the 2013 version of Sonic 2, created by DNX & various others. #sonic2 #sonic2mania #sonic2mods Overview Much in comparison to S1M, this mod has been inspired by Sonic Mania, and thus utilizes gameplay features, art style, and music (currently in development) to match with the feel of the game. Features Here's a list of features in the mod: • Playable Mighty and Ray, though these two can't be accessed through the HE menu, but through the dev menu instead. • Fully smooth animations for badniks and various level objects. • New decor objects and props for zones. • Fight against Eggrobo when playing as Knuckles. • Character animations fully ported over from Sonic Mania, with Mania-like smooth sprite rotation. • Some new visual and Sfx from Mania to add to the authenticity. • Modified palettes for the Special Stages to match the emerald colors. • Settings menu similar to S1M to change gameplay, palettes, HUD, monitor elements. - In addition to the main mod, there's also the Sonic 2 Remixed Soundtrack mod, which simply replaces the rest of the original games music that the main mod currently did not replace with remixed ones. This is only temporary. - Quick Notes • Not all special stages seem to play entirely. At least 4 out of 7 from testing each of them out can play start to finish, but the other 3 crash at certain points. • I believe only a couple of sprites might be broken. (To be exact from what I discovered - one of Tails' speed up animations, the Batbot in Hidden Palace whenever it flies around, and possibly Ray's super form palette) • More importantly here, this mod will not work with Origins.
