Artificial intelligence is flooding streaming platforms (Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, etc.) and revolutionizing the music industry. In January 2026, for example, 60,000 AI-generated tracks were uploaded daily to Deezer. This represents 39% of daily releases and is four times more than a year earlier. Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal—all platforms are affected. In recent years, AI-powered music generation software has become increasingly accessible. Software like Suno, Udio, and Google Music can generate music based on a simple text command. According to a Deezer study, 97% of listeners are unable to detect the use of artificial intelligence by ear. Some of these AI artists are managing to attract large audiences. Xania Monet, The Velvet Sundown, Solomon Rey—the examples of successful AI artists are multiplying. Le Monde identified 400 AI artists available on streaming platforms as of January 2026, boasting over 90 million monthly listeners on Spotify. In this video, we search for the creators behind these fake artist profiles to better understand their methods and motivations. How do you create music using AI? How do you break into streaming platforms with AI? How much do AI artists earn on streaming platforms? How do platforms combat this phenomenon? These are all questions we will attempt to answer. With the help of producer LNKHEY, known for his cover of the song "Saiyan" featuring an AI vocal clone of the singer Angèle, we created our own 100% fictional project, Mina.wav. Using Google Gemini and the music creation software Suno, we produced and released its first 100% AI single, "Juste un vu" (Just One View), on major streaming platforms.
