I even rewatched some scenes a thousand times. I honestly couldn’t decide between this one and Top Form as my favorite Thai series of this year. Everything about this show felt like a masterpiece to me. The story was emotional and somehow healing at the same time. Every episode ended in such an intriguing way that it became completely addictive. The actors had so much chemistry. Peak played Prince Saenkaew perfectly. He showed that soft-hearted prince who carries so much weight on his shoulders so well. They made him cry in almost every episode and I just kept falling for him more and more. He actually reminded me of Prince Henry from Red, White & Royal Blue, even in his look and vibe. The way Sasin fell in love with Saenkaew was beautiful. You could literally see the love growing in his eyes. The way he sacrificed everything for Saenkaew really broke me, especially that scene when he desperately tried to reach for his hand through the fence. That moment made me cry so hard. Pearl became one of my favorite actors after this. Pin was such a lovely and innocent girl. Even though she made mistakes, I could never hate her. It was clear she’d end up on Sasin and Saenkaew’s side and help them. Perth is so beautiful and did such a good job. Prince Kamfa (the father) was another favorite character of mine. He made me so angry at times, but he was also a really deep character. You could feel how much he loved his son, even if it came out the very wrong way. I liked how he eventually became better, though I still wish he had properly apologized to Sasin. That scene with the grandmother, when she accepted their love with such warmth, open arms, and a clear mind, was the most beautiful part of the series for me. I had to pause it and just cry. I’m so thankful to the producers, directors, and writers for creating this masterpiece. I never expected it to hit me this deeply, but it’s now one of my all-time favorites. I just wish I had started editing this series when it first aired so it wouldn’t have turned into such a long edit all at once. I feel a bit sad because I’m not sure I did full justice to the series with this edit. I chose this song because it carried exactly the feeling I wanted, and the concert version of it had the perfect length. Sorry that my edit had spoilers, but I hope you still give the series a watch.
