About my sunshine, he said all budgies mass-produced have bacteria, only during molting when they are weak or when they got immune system weak this bacteria to take over and eventually kills budgies. So, take your budgies on time to the vet. These antibiotics I got are great but you need to know the correct measurement for budgies, an overdose of antibiotics can kill budgies too. So, for the best ask your vet first. How can we prevent this from happening? Every time when they change feathers you should give them vitamins, you can get them from the vet, pet store, or online. They need calcium, cuttlebone, and mineral block are the must-haves. Giving a seed-only diet to budgies does not provide vitamins and minerals. Giving millet is a treat for budgies that's why they can whole millet bar in minutes, budgies need vegetables and fruits.
