Acoustic Simulation with Actran for the Aeronautical Industry

Actran is the premier acoustic simulation software to solve acoustics, vibro-acoustics, and aero-acoustics problems. Used by automotive manufacturers and suppliers, aerospace and defense companies, and consumer product manufacturers, Actran helps engineers better understand and improve the acoustics performance of their designs. Quiet cabin environment and well managed exterior noise are all important matters for airplane and helicopter manufacturers and their suppliers. The aircraft interior and exterior noise levels are due to different sources such as the engine, APU, propeller, HVAC system, and turbulent boundary layers over the fuselage, etc. In order to mitigate the noise, knowledge on the noise sources and their transmission paths are required, so that the appropriate countermeasures can be instrumented. Today, simulation plays an increasingly important role in the design of quieter aircrafts. The Actran software allows modeling both vibro-acoustic and aero-acoustic problems and can be integrated into optimization platform for design of experiments (DOE). This webinar will provide an overview of Actran capabilities in modeling aeronautical acoustics. Several application examples will be presented. The webinar will also include a small live demo.
