A review of Park Chan-wook's 2016 Korean thriller The Handmaiden. I discuss plot, music, characterization, and the many different themes of the movie in this video. The Handmaiden is one of my favorite films, telling the story of a beautiful love that blossoms between two women during a dark time in history. so I wanted to make a video pinpointing exactly why it's great and to discuss everything about the film, through its controversial material to it's finest, most detailed and lush elements.
