Frankfort, Free State! Ep 474

The journey to Frankfort in the Free State was enjoyable, leading us past wildlife and over the N3. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of palm trees adorning the town. Once again, we were captivated by the exquisite sandstone buildings and the quaint single-lane bridge spanning the stunning Wilge River. Securing access to a holiday resort undergoing renovation along the riverbank added to the charm of our visit. The stunning domed ceiling of the Dutch Reformed Church, its clock and bell with bullet holes were further standouts from this visit.
