Welcome to my video where I read my most light-hearted essay for Stanford, "Dear Future Roommate." I loved watching these videos when I was applying, so I hope this is helpful to you! Virtually all of Stanford's undergraduates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate -- and us -- know you better. Hey roomie!! I noticed you weren't there at breakfast this morning, so I came back to bring you some eggs and blueberry muffins. They made them totally fresh today, so I hope by the time you wake up they'll still be warm. Man, are they good! Even though my first class isn't until this afternoon, ME 101 with Professor Edmark, I do wanna go early to talk to him about those room sketches I made last night. Maybe we'll finally get to create that cool kinetic bookshelf to make our dorm more space-efficient (Lord knows we need it!). So, I'm headed out to the store now to replenish our supplies. If you need anything, just text me once you're up. I was thinking mayyybe I would go by Target to pick up some Winter decorations for our place. If you're awake soon, you might still get a chance to have some input on the new theme. Otherwise, you’ll wake up to red and green room smelling like pumpkin spice and everything nice! ... Just kidding. You knowww you can trust me when it comes to decorating, right? Btw, I heard they just opened a new boba place where that old Jamba Juice off of Encina used to be (RIP...).
