"Angelia" - RICHARD MARX (cover)

🇮🇹 Come ogni giorno, anche ieri pomeriggio ho registrato qualcosa per tenermi in allenamento. Si trattava di un brano in cui il mio timbro di voce, quello classico e pulito di sempre, ha retto fino alla fine del brano. Solo che qualche ora dopo, la mia voce è cambiata ancora, a causa della disfonia legata alla fibromialgia, tornando quasi al timbro graffiato innaturale di qualche settimana fa. Ed è stato in quel momento che ho acceso anche la videocamera e ho fatto un tentativo, quello di cantare una canzone del mio eroe musicale in assoluto: Richard Marx. Anche il solo riuscire a cantare "Angelia" è stato il più grande traguardo della mia carriera di cantante. Ovviamente, dopo è arrivata la classica e puntuale crisi di dolori. Cantare non è solo il mio lavoro. È la mia vita. Ma non vi nascondo che questa situazione comincia a pesare sempre di più e forse dovrei prendermi una pausa, soprattutto se ogni volta devo stare male. Ho già dovuto smettere di suonare dal vivo e non mi posso permettere di sospendere anche le lezioni di canto e quelle poche sessioni di voiceover artist. Ma per quel che riguarda le cover che ogni tanto pubblico, credo che sia arrivato il momento di sospendere, cercando di limitare e salvaguardare la voce. So già che mi verrà difficile trattenermi perché non so stare senza cantare, che abbia una voce o un'altra, ma la salute viene prima di tutto. It was a song in which my voice, classic and clear as always, held up until the end of the song. Only a few hours later, my voice changed again, due to dysphonia linked to fibromyalgia, returning almost to the unnatural scratchy tone of a few weeks ago. And it was at that moment that I turned on the video camera and gave it a try, singing a song by my absolute musical hero: Richard Marx. Just being able to sing “Angelia” was the greatest achievement of my singing career. Of course, after that came the classic and inevitable pain crisis. Singing is not just my job. It's my life. But I won't hide the fact that this situation is starting to weigh more and more heavily on me, and perhaps I should take a break, especially if I have to suffer every time. I've already had to stop performing live, and I can't afford to suspend my singing lessons and those few voiceover artist sessions as well. But as for the covers I occasionally publish, I think the time has come to suspend them, trying to limit and protect my voice. I already know it will be difficult for me to hold back because I can't stand not singing, whether I have one voice or another, but health comes first.
