Grandma Bernadette has what I call "hoarding syndrome," which consists of her keeping any object deemed beautiful or useful, and even picking up items thrown on the street by unscrupulous citizens for the same reason. My grandmother is getting older and older, and living in this stifling mess was becoming unbearable. That's why my mother and I set ourselves the goal of emptying my grandmother's house so she could find a healthy living environment.
