Speaking in Tongues Was Invented in 1901. Here's Proof. 650 million Christians believe that speaking in tongues proves the Holy Spirit lives inside them. It is the fastest growing movement in Christianity one in four Christians on earth. But the doctrine that tongues are THE required evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit was first taught by one man, Charles Fox Parham, on January 1, 1901, in Topeka, Kansas. No apostle taught it. No Church Father taught it. Not for 1,900 years.
