Living and Sober: I bought a bike in Cambodia & I f*cked this footage :(

Day 11-ish of trying to unfuck life in Siem Reap. Today was one of those days where the video is a bit cooked — somehow the DJI Action cam ended up in portrait, so yeah, sorry about the shit footage — but the day itself was a win. I found a Muay Thai gym 50 metres from my apartment, trained at 8am with a French trainer and his partner, and got absolutely smoked. My lungs were making noises they haven’t made in years, but apparently I’ve still got enough skill that they reckon I could fight in three months. So now Muay Thai is locked in: Monday to Saturday, 6am. Then I went hunting for a bike. The one I wanted was gone, someone tried to sell me an old piece of shit for $400, and renting one for a month turned into the usual Cambodian logistics circus. So I walked into another shop and just bought a brand new one for $450. Living and sober. Bought a bike. Also had red snapper, found a sports complex with tennis, rode around Siem Reap, checked out an ATV park that wasn’t open, possibly got offered someone’s daughter by an old bloke, then ended the day with chicken breast, pineapple juice, a protein shake, and no energy left. This is the point now: not sitting around thinking about beer. Training. Eating. Working. Riding around. Finding things to do. Building an actual life again. Even when the video settings are fucked. #LivingAndSober #SoberRebuild #SiemReap #MuayThai #BoughtABike #StepTen
