English Electric Lightning F53 (53-671) engine run at the Gatwick Aviation Museum on 4th March 2017. "We haven't had a peep out of either system or engine in any test runs, she has behaved, even last night everything tested out just fine, then today she reminds us who is boss by throwing us a few niggles. We will have them fixed by next weekend though, it's just the nature of the beast!!" The chief engineer Andy Scrase declared himself very happy with 671's performance, with 95% serviceability of the systems on the day. The immediate run crew of Dave Tylee, Milt Roach, Pete Mills and Scott Mortby on the day, explained that "Despite exhaustive testing, we are effectively still dealing with a very new aeroplane here, and it takes a little while for the serviceability curve to flatten out on any new build aircraft.
