Wevelgem Station East Level Crossing

Friday July 4 2025 at 16.43. The 16.07 Poperinge to Antwerpen-Centraal (18.23) train. Because of the station the wait here was longer than usual and this may be the first Belgium level crossing where time has been cut from it. Around 20 vehicles queued on the other side. There are no stop lines at this crossing and they manage without all the warning signs Network Rail use. Even all the parked cars are facing the right way so their red reflectors point towards on coming traffic. The advert on the wall with a tomato says 'Don't leave me alone now.' #spoorwegovergang #belgium #belgique
