Danby Lodge and Castle 8Km walking Loop

Danby Lodge and Castle 8Km / 5 Mile walk Intermediate hike. Good fitness required. Easily-accessible paths. Suitable for all skill levels. The starting point of the route is accessible with public transport. The Moors National Park Centre is the place to go for information about the North York Moors. Galleries, interactive displays, a café and gift shop are just some of the attractions in the centre. There's also an indoor climbing wall and outdoor play area for the kids. Riverside, moorland and woodland trails leave the centre and guided walks are available. There's also a bird hide for budding ornithologists. The centre is only a short walk from Danby station, which is on the Esk Valley Line.
