In this tutorial, we will configure a simple network with VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). The network will also include a DHCP server, which will be used to assign an IP address to each device on the network. We will therefore need a simple setup with: • A router (2811) • A switch (2960-24TT) • Two IP phones (7960) • Two PCs connected to the IP phones. This tutorial is divided into 8 steps, the first of which is: 1: Configuring the Router's FastEthernet 0/0 interface and creating the DHCP server, 2: Configuring the "Call Manager Express" telephony service on the Router, 3: Configuring a Voice VLAN on the Switch, 4: Configuring IP Phone 1 on the Router, 5: Configuring IP Phone 2 on the Router, 6: Verifying the correct assignment of IP addresses and phone numbers, 7: Assigning IP addresses to PCs via the DHCP server, 8: Finally, testing the system's functionality.
