"Today I want to be soothed by noodles. But I also want a little adventure." Don't you ever have days like that? Good evening. This is Take 3. This time, for the theme of "A Salaryman's Lunch Break," I visited a restaurant located across National Route 1, a short walk from Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station in Yokkaichi City. I visited "Oshokujidokoro Tenobemen Ito" [Interior] A calm, Japanese-style space with a simple interior featuring counter and table seating. The sound of noodles boiling, the aroma of broth, and the sight of the chef's hands through the steam. It really gives you the feeling of "I came to eat noodles." [Menu] After much deliberation, we ordered the following! Order Menu * -------------------------------------------------- ◇ Kake Hiyamugi (Hot) - 850 yen The first thing that surprised me was the generous amount of ingredients. It contained meat seasoned with a sweet marinade, green onions, and fish cake, and a wonderful aroma wafted up with the steam. The noodles were smooth and chewy. I never imagined that hand-stretched hiyamugi noodles would go so well with warm broth. A comforting bowl that is gentle yet satisfying. ◇ Kake Somen (Cold) - 950 yen This one is refreshingly different. It contains shrimp and shiitake mushrooms, offering a different texture and aroma from the hiyamugi. The smooth texture of the thin noodles, the umami of the shrimp, and the flavor of the shiitake mushrooms. A perfect balance of three elements. As expected from noodles made in a noodle factory, everything is top-notch. This "stylish bowl" that you could eat endlessly is an absolute must-try. ◇Stewed Curry Hiyamugi (cold noodles) - 1300 yen The umami of the broth and the aroma of the curry combine, stimulating the appetite even from the steam. The curry coats the thin noodles well, and the aroma of spices spreads gently as you slurp them. A mildly spicy, gentle curry that you'll want to drink to the last drop. This is addictive. Anyone would be curious if curry and somen noodles go together. And they go together incredibly well! What's most appealing is that it's served bubbling hot in a stone pot. Honestly, I couldn't hide my surprise at how well the piping hot curry and the satisfying noodles went together. This is something you absolutely cannot make at home! This is sure to become a specialty of this restaurant! ◇Onigiri (rice ball) - 300 yen each ▽Salmon Onigiri Fluffy rice with salty salmon. Salmon is simple, yet why is it so delicious? It pairs perfectly with warm hiyamugi noodles. ▽Mentaiko Onigiri Spicy and rich in flavor. When combined with cold somen noodles, it creates an endless loop of alternating eating. ▽Tuna Onigiri A comforting dish with a gentle flavor. A perfect supporting actor that gently complements the spices of the curry hiyamugi. ------------------------------------------------- □Summary Established over 100 years ago. A noodle factory located in Oyachi, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture. "Ito Seimenjo" In Mie Prefecture, it's undoubtedly a famous noodle factory when it comes to "hand-stretched noodles." This is the only place where you can enjoy exquisite dishes using noodles from such a noodle factory, and where the deliciousness of the noodles themselves truly shines. "Today I want to be soothed by noodles," "I want both comfort and satisfaction." On days like these, the place to choose is Ito Hand-Stretched Noodles (Ito Seimenjo).
