Currently, elevated railway construction is underway near Suwanomori Station and Hamadera-koen Station on the Nankai Main Line. This elevated bridge of the Hankai Line is an obstacle to the progress of this construction. Therefore, construction is underway to remove this overpass, change the route of the Hankai Line, and build a new stop east of Hamadera-koen Station. From the perspective of reducing construction costs, the leveling of the Hankai Line has been decided. Furthermore, to further minimize project costs and improve transfer convenience with Nankai Hamadera-koen Station, the station will be relocated to the east side and constructed as a single track. This kind of coordinated construction is likely due to the fact that Hankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nankai Electric Railway.
