Mercury XR6 150 HP Impeller Replacement

This explains how we replaced the impeller in a Mercury XR6 150hp engine. I didn't film the actual work but took pictures along the way. I figured if you have the simple skills to attempt this, then you didn't need to see me turning bolts. And yes, that long shaft is the driveshaft but I couldn't think of the name while filming. One small (large) item that I did not mention in the video is the key for the impeller. Without the key, the impeller will not work. The key keeps the impeller from spinning on the driveshaft. We inserted the new impeller in the housing, then used a small amount of grease to keep the key on the driveshaft, then dropped the housing, with the inserted impeller, on the driveshaft and worked it down until the key was meshing with the slot in the impeller.
