"In Pursuit of Gold" is a 9-minute mini-documentary experiment I prepared as part of the documentary course at Yeditepe University's RTC Cinema Department. In this video, you will see why I made this project and my script footnotes, followed by the mini-documentary itself. In the documentary, my father, a jeweler, and my friend Enes Özkan, an economist, spoke. I tried to understand gold through the lens of economics, family, trust, tradition, and human stories. This work does not claim to be a flawless documentary; rather, it is shared as a class project to learn from the production process and to discuss how an idea takes shape as it transforms into a documentary. Camera shake and color problems are very noticeable in some scenes. Due to time constraints, we couldn't reshoot the faulty scenes. Nevertheless, I'm leaving it here as a memory and an example of an experience for you.
