“I Believe in Miracles” (the complete LP) features the soothing voice of Mary Jayne (Gaetke-Gaither) along with the orchestra and arrangements of Ralph Carmichael. Audrey Mieir heard Mary Jayne sing at an event in Central California and later introduced her to Tim Spencer at Capitol Records in Hollywood for her first “big time” album. She was asked who she wanted for her arranger, and she immediately chose Ralph! The songs on this project include four by Audrey Mieir, three by Tim Spencer, plus many other beautiful favorites – most with full orchestra, a few with simple piano accompaniment: “I Believe in Miracles” (Peterson), “I Cannot Fail the Lord” (Akers), “How Great Thou Art” (Hine), “Faith and Prayer” (Slaughter), “Surely I Can Believe” (G. Spencer), “Don’t Spare Me” (Mieir), “Open Your Heart” (T. Spencer), “His Name Is Wonderful” (Mieir), “How Wonderful to Know” (T. Spencer), “Real Peace” (Mieir), “It Matters to Him” (Mieir) and “I’ll Be There” (T. Spencer). The album was released in 1962 on Capitol Records and was re-released in 1966 by Word Records.
