BR in the 1990s Bristol Temple Meads Station on 23rd September 1995 Part 1 of 2
BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's Bristol Temple Meads Station on 23rd September 1995 Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Bristol Temple Meads Station as seen from 2 vantage points. The road bridge south of the station platforms which carries The Great West Road (A4), busy and a little noisy. Secondly from the North End of the Platforms. Again I have decided to create this feature as two parts. Seen upon this special day were the usual service trains HST and class 47's on the Cross Country services from the West of England and the North and Midlands. A pair of 37s are seen on an ECC working heading towards Cornwall and the rare liveried 08 shunter plus Brake Van (Red and Black) busy with shunting stock to the depot. Class 46 D212 is captured on film with a special for the West and also 2 steam specials one with an absolute stunning 8P class 71000 "Duke of Gloucester" and the other equally fabulous S15 Southern Loco 828. Again the weather proved magnificent for this day visit to the area. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
