I used a Vintage 1955 Simplicity Pattern to Make a Dress for Disneyland

This week, I'm going to be adding to my summer wardrobe by making a vintage-style Bambi dress from a 1955 pattern. I will be wearing this on my upcoming trip to Disneyland (which opened in 1955!) I will be combining two patterns, a Simplicity pattern from 1955 as well as a modern reprint Simplicity pattern, both of which are very similar to each other, and I will compare the two and choose elements from both that will turn into this super cute dress! 00:00 - Intro 07:05 - Pattern Comparison - Vintage vs Modern 15:37 - Bodice Mockup 18:56 - Assembling the Bodice 25:54 - Dealing with Fitted Sleeves 33:40 - Super Awesome Silk Find! 36:11 - Making the Skirt 39:31 - Finishing the Sleeves 47:25 - Trimming the Bodice 51:10 - The finished dress 52:11 - Final Thoughts If you like vintage vs modern pattern comparisons, check out Stephanie Canada's channel:    / stephaniecanada   Bambi fabric from Joann's: https://www.joann.com/bambi-cotton-fa...
