Flooding is worsening in Transbaikalia. A tragedy occurred in the Shilkinsky District: a girl died when a riverbank collapsed. In the Krasnochikoi District, the village of Atsa was completely cut off from the mainland: water flooded the only road connecting the village to the federal highway. Residents were left without direct access to hospitals and stores. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, river levels continue to rise and could reach a dangerous 700 cm. A state of high alert has been declared in the region, and the cyclone is expected to persist for at least another week.
