Brightest Birthday: When a Card Kit Becomes a Scrapbook Layout – Can I Make It WORK?

That card kit you bought? It might be a better scrapbook layout than it ever was a card. Here's what happened when I took the Brightest Birthday kit and forgot the instructions. Card kits come pre-coordinated — colours matched, patterns sorted, everything designed to work together. So why are we only using them for cards? This layout came together faster than any paper-picking session I've ever done. The kit did the hard bit. All I had to do was stop treating the pieces like card fronts and start treating them like pattern paper. Tiny, perfectly coordinated pattern paper.
