In this live stream, I talk about the importance of writing groups and how many people don't get stuck because they lack talent, but because they try to write a book completely alone. Writing has solitary moments, of course, but finishing a project requires consistency, exchange, reading, deadlines, feedback, and an environment where your story is taken seriously. Throughout the conversation, I discuss the main difficulties that prevent writers from finishing their books: the excitement that fades after the first few pages, the lack of commitment to the text, insecurity about their own writing, excessive revision before the time is right, the absence of qualified readers, and the loneliness of not having anyone to talk to about the real problems of the process. I also explain why a writing group serves not only to motivate, but to help the writer develop a critical eye, revisit the text, and move forward with greater technical awareness. In the second part of the live stream, I present two paths for those who want to write with more support. The first is the Fantasy Literature Writing Lab, aimed at those who write fantasy, horror, science fiction, romance, magical realism, and other forms of the fantastic. In the second half of 2026, the challenge will be to develop a novella, a long short story, or a book of short stories between July and December.
