In my au joker was a man named Jack Napier and him and Bruce were friends (Jack liked him romantically) as the story said he worked at Wayne corporation. Then his mother died and his life started to spiral out of control, he fell into the wrong crowd and ended up at the factory trying to rob it when he sees Batman and remembers him as his idol and ends up falling in the acid. His mind breaks and he becomes to joker.
