Genealogy Series: Using Social History to Feel the Gaps
We often get the question “Why did someone move?” and have to turn to more general resources to find out what was happening around the person to have a better understanding of why they might have moved from one place to another. Using newspapers, county histories, academic resources, google books, society journals, oral histories and other social science resources helps us to discover more about the time and places our ancestors lived.
