This is it. Episode 8 is the finale — and The WONDERfools goes out with everything it has. 🔥👊 It begins with Chae-ni and Gyeon-un desperately trying to escape the church. She uses the last coffee jelly to teleport Gyeon-un safely outside his house — then turns around and goes straight back into the chaos alone. Armed with nothing but a chainsaw she accidentally breaks on the spot. Only Chae-ni. Jun-mo and Jeon-bok burst into the church just in time, using a speaker system to break Ju-ran's brainwashing spell and snap the entire crowd out of their zombie-like state. Meanwhile in the basement, Un-jeong confronts Dr Ha directly — demanding answers for everything done to him as a child. Dr Ha refuses to accept a single word of blame. Won-do's final plan is terrifying — he intends to release a blimp full of toxic chemicals over the entire town of Haeseong to infect as many people as possible. Our four misfits are the only thing standing between Haeseong and complete destruction. With thirty minutes left before midnight, the group splits up. Gyeon-un faces Ju-ran but gets thrown off a building. Ju-ran collapses from overusing her powers. The brainwashing spell finally breaks. By the end of the final battle — Won-do, Pal-ho and Ho-ran are all dead. The people of Haeseong forget everything that happened that night. Nobody remembers how Chae-ni and her friends saved the entire town. The only person who remembers the truth is Gyeon-un's daughter Cheong — who finally sees her father for the hero he always was. Chae-ni, Un-jeong, Ro-bin and Gyeon-un remain together — a strange but deeply loving found family keeping watch over Haeseong. And in the post-credits scene — Ha Won-do wakes up as every wound on his body heals instantly.
