'Der Untergang der Titanic' - Dr. Stefan Merkle beim #58 Science Slam Berlin
The Titanic was destined to sink, we all know that! But new facts about this are now emerging from classical philology, a field of research that has received very little attention in this context—unjustly so! Stefan Merkle studied Greek, Latin, and History at LMU Munich. After earning his doctorate, he dedicated himself primarily to the question of how and why the language and culture of antiquity should still be passed on today. He currently teaches at the Institute for Greek and Latin Philology at LMU. With this presentation, Dr. Stefan Merkle won the 58th Science Slam Berlin.
