Repairing Bearing Edges on Ludwig Drum set

**PLEASE NOTE** This is not a tuning video. This is not a comparative video. The intent here was to simply show the shells before, the work in between, and the process of improving tone. Even though I'd love a new maple Ludwig drum set, I just lack the space for another kit. Seeing as this was my first kit (first love), I'll never let this one go. It made sense to put some TLC into these drums. I felt the most important upgrade would be to the bearing edges. This is a 7 ply shell made in Taiwan. The edges were mediocre in the sense of inconsistencies and lack of proper leveling. I chose to have The Precision Drum Company in Pleasant Valley, NY do the edge work. https://precisiondrum.com/ They graciously took me in, did the work while I waited, and even let me film in their shop. It was an informative experience and I recommend them for their services if you're looking for any new shells or work related to drums and everything in between. I also upgraded my bass drum hoops from the factory metal inlay hoops to all maple 1.5" hoops sprayed black. I failed to include this in the video. Please feel free to ask any questions.
