The Magical Llanddwyn Island And Newborough Beach, Anglesey | Walk Wales 4K

Join me as I explore the Welsh Love Island, the magical Llanddwyn Island on Anglesey, Wales. It's a tidal island that sits at the end of Newborough Beach. On this walk we tell a tale of St Dwynwen, the Welsh St Valentine, and explore the landmarks on the island such as the 16th century ruin of St Dwynwen's Church, a Celtic Cross, the Pilots Cottages, the Twr Mawr Lighthouse and Twr Bach Lighthouse plus St Dwynwen's Cross. We also get magnificent views of the beaches on the island, the coastline and over to the mountains of Snowdonia on the Welsh mainland along the way. The walk starts out at the Maes Parcio Ynys Llanddwyn on Google Maps which in English means Llanddwyn Island Car Park. At the time of this visit it was £2 for the first hour and 40p for each additional hour up to a daily maximum of £7. You pay at the barrier on the way out by cash or card. Also note that Llanddwyn Island gets cut off at high tide for about 2 hours.
