【あわら温泉 べにや】各界の著名人がお忍びで通う、美食と癒やしの名宿

I visited Kofuyuho Beniya, a renowned inn in Awara Onsen, Fukui Prefecture. Since its opening in 1884, it has been a historic inn frequented by figures such as Emperor Showa and Yujiro Ishihara. Having overcome the great hardship of a fire in 2018, it now boasts 17 rooms, each with a private open-air bath fed by natural hot spring water, in a completely new form. Even with the renovations, it still feels somehow familiar and comforting. I was able to feel the unchanging warmth of Beniya. Above all, the food was truly wonderful. It was so delicious that I booked a return visit for December before even checking out. Instead of sightseeing everywhere, we simply relaxed at the inn.
