Natives of the Island of Selayer, off the southern tip of Sulawesi, the Selayer locality has developed into one of the most naturally beautiful retics of the Dwarf and Super Dwarf Reticulated pythons. Unfortunately, because of mislabelling and a lack of interest in the preservation of their genetics these snakes have become increasingly scarce in captivity.
