I restored (repaired) old cracked leather on a sofa. The first step was preparation. I removed any remaining leather near the cracks, sanded the surface with fine sandpaper, and degreased it with alcohol. The second step was applying a color-matched filler in several layers using a rubber spatula (allowing each layer to dry before applying the next). The third step was painting in several layers, allowing each layer to dry completely. Cost of materials: 1. Filler (2 pcs.): 240 UAH ($9) 2.
