Find out more about Ancient DNA at York!
Meet Dr Nathan Wales, our ancient DNA specialist. Nathan's research focuses on questions related to plant domestication and crop utilization. Through the analysis of DNA from archaeobotanical remains, he investigates how past people changed wild plant species into the key crops that today feed billions of people. By tracking genetic changes in domesticated plants, it is possible to understand ancient diets, past farming practices, and the movement of people and their agricultural systems. And you can find out all about this through our degrees here: https://www.york.ac.uk/study/undergra... https://www.york.ac.uk/study/postgrad... Drop us an email if you want to find out more. Thanks again to Dushyant Naresh for the video.
