It was a two-day, one-night car trip. On Day 1, I started from Roadside Station Yokohama, heading for Omazaki, the northernmost point of Honshu. Yokohama Town was in the midst of rapeseed blossom season. It was so beautiful, and the scent of flowers filled the air. On Day 1, I stopped at Cape Shiriya, the eastern tip of the mountain, and Mount Osore, one of Japan's three most sacred sites, before heading to my destination, Omazaki. At Omazaki, my goal, there's a parking lot with a free campsite attached.
