On 24 August 2019, a 19-year-old female university student named Uyinene Mrwetyana was brutally raped and murdered in Cape Town, South Africa by a male post office employee when she went to pick up a parcel. When the news of her murder hit the media, a surge of emotion was ignited in women across the country. The following weekend, the women of Her Voice sat together and wrote down their memories, fears, thoughts and hopes. This is their story...
