Saroléa 30R 1930 - 500CC - Prewar racing side-car- [Onboard nice sound]

This is an overview and quick ride of my 1930 Saroléa 30R. It is an uncommun pre war racing side-car. The 30R has been produced at around 100 copies. In 2021 only 6 remains. 1930 has been the bigest year of production of Saroléa with less than 5 000 motorcycle produced. The 30R is the amateur racing model (spider web on the cranckcase) and had quite a succes in the early 30's in solo and side-car configuration. The factory racing model is the 30C but none are still remains, the biggest difference with the 30R is the single exhaust. The sport model is the 24Ua. This bike is fully matching number and has been restored 40 years ago. The side car is contemporary with the motorcycle. It is probably an english model, but the brand can not be identified. The engine is quite powerfull however, like all the Saroléa of the late 20's early 30's the cycle parts is really heavy and not agile at all. The side-car do not help in thoses aspects. After the production of the 30R Saroléa will abandon the vertical cylinder and go to incline cylinder.
