Hunting "Guardian Arkveld, Chained White Wraith" (Low Rank) - Monster Hunter: Wilds

“Guardian Arkveld” is a Construct based on Arkveld, first introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds. Though it mirrors the original in form, this version glows with ominous energy—glowing veins course through its head, torso, forelimbs, and deadly chainblades. Its overall appearance is notably whiter than its standard counterpart, an unsettling contrast that marks its synthetic, corrupted origin. Like all Guardians, it draws strength from Wyvern Milk, but uniquely, it can also absorb energy directly from other monsters. This unnatural ability gave rise to a predatory behavior toward fellow Constructs, including those it has no need to consume. Driven by a ceaseless hunger for Wyvern Milk and compelled by an uncontrollable instinct to feed, it destabilized the ecosystem of the Ruins of Wyveria and was declared too dangerous to coexist. Its chainblades detonate on impact when slashing over pools of Wyvern Milk, leaving behind explosive Wylkrystals. Later in its encounter, it absorbs power from fallen Guardian Seikret pods, gaining the ability to unleash Dragon element attacks. Serving as the penultimate foe in the Low Rank story, the encounter with Guardian Arkveld is a singular event—hunters cannot currently face it again. Nevertheless, its unique weapons and armor can still be forged using materials harvested from other Guardians and its base species in High Rank. It remains the only Construct derived from an Extinct Species. During exploration, it can be caught feeding on dormant Constructs encased in Guardian cocoons, driving its chainblades through the shell to drain energy while simultaneously devouring the sleeping creature inside. It can be power clashed when its bite or chainblade slam is blocked at the right moment, allowing a rare opening.
